Organic Acid Test
The Organic Acids Test (OAT) provides a metabolic “snapshot” based on those products the body discarded during urination. These small organic acid molecules are byproducts of human cellular activity, the digestion of foods, and the life cycles of gastrointestinal flora. The OAT reliably detects the overgrowth of yeast and bacteria species commonly missed by conventional culture methods. These organisms can produce or exacerbate symptoms in many conditions and often affect other metabolic processes assessed in the OAT.
Micronutrient Testing
Micronutrient testing measures specifically how micronutrients are functioning in your body, specifically your white blood cells. Historically, nutrient levels were tested in the serum of your blood, but studies suggest that these static levels don’t give an accurate picture of how these nutrients are interacting on a cellular level. So this new method of testing is more advanced and gives a more accurate picture of your true nutritional status.
IgG Food Allergy Panel
This is a blood test that evaluates food allergies and sensitivities. Most standard food allergy testing look at IgE mediated response which shows a true allergy to food. However, they do not included testing IgG mediated food reactions, which can be a delayed reaction to food up to 78 hours, and are associated with food sensitivities. Food sensitivities can have more insidious long-term effect on your health, causing symptoms such as sinus inflammation, recurrent ear infections, gas and bloating, low energy, and mood changes. We utilize a food allergy panel that tests for different foods in all the main food categories including dairy, meat and eggs, grains, fruits, vegetables and miscellaneous things like sugar, chocolate, coffee, gluten and yeast. The test reports which foods you are sensitive to and the strength of the reaction. Food sensitivities can be treated and reversed in most cases.
Adrenal Stress Test
Your adrenal function can be assessed with a simple salivary test, where the daily cortisol rhythm throughout the day and at night is mapped out and compared to normal levels. When levels are too high or too low, or the cortisol rhythm is reversed (low during the day and high at night), symptoms like fatigue and insomnia may occur. This test is valuable in evaluating cases of fatigue, insomnia, hormone imbalance (PMS, menopausal symptoms), weight gain (especially belly fat), or mood issues.
Complete Stool Analysis
Comprehensive digestive stool analysis will assess for chronic or underlying causes of disease and indicate where the treatment plan needs adjustment. Beneficial bacteria live in us naturally and help each of our bodily functions. Harmful bacteria, or even over growth of beneficial bacteria, cause imbalances that disrupt normal body function and health. Once levels are determined, a treatment plan is created to address any issues.
